The Emilisse Stout is enhance by a blend of fine Italian espresso beans used in the brewing process. It boasts a blend of 90% Arabica and 10% Robusta, which combine to give the Emilisse Espresso Stout an extra-spicy, full-bodied palate.

33 cl. bottle @ home, gift from Luc. Black with a beige head. Roasted coffee aroma. Taste is quite sweet and almost all coffee-like sensation. No roasted malts or hopbitterness, only coffee roastiness and bitterness. To me it felt and tasted a bit unbalanced with a heavy emphasis on the coffee.

Bottle from Maakun, many thanks! Pours black with mid sized beige head. Big espresso aroma with some dark, dried fruits, chocolate, roast and molasses. Chocolate and coffee taste with some vanilla, roast and a little bit of warming alcohol. Solid.

BOTTLE 33 CL. BB SEP-2016. Pitch black, medium espresso head. Smell sweet - dark molasses, sweet dried prunes, burnt sugar, some earthy hops. Not much coffee. The taste starts just as sweet, but soon balances out, and finishes with a robust grassy bitterness. A sweeter, less roasty kind of impy. And where’s the coffee?

Almost pitch black, medium tan head, good lacing. Aroma is of chocolate and roasted malt, strong coffee beans. Taste is medium sweet dark chocolate, roasted coffee, strong coffee beans, dry coffee medium bitter finish and lasting espresso aftertaste, some roasty acidity. Medium+ bodied, soft carbonation, creamy. It is indeed an Espresso. (bottle, Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte)

50cl bottle at Sandar Haandverksbryggeri - Brygghuset, Sandefjord. Pours very dark brown with a beige head. Roasty aroma with nice coffee notes, hints of dark chocolate and mocca. Medium sweet with a fairly light bitterness. Rather tasty one!

Bottle - Chocolate and almost minty notes. Deep jet brown black with a nice rich light brown head. Nice dark roasty notes, lots of chocolate and a nice bitterness. I get more chocolate notes than coffee, but it is still very rich and nice.

Very dark brown. Dark chocolate, dark fruit and rich dark coffee/espresso. Thin to medium feel but sticky sweet and creamy. Carbonation is fine and compliments the flavors. I love espresso beer! Backlog from 2014/04/02. Ik vind dit zo lekkerrrrrrrr! Backlog from 2015/10/15.

From a 23/11/2015. Pours the darkest brown with a biggish tan head. Has a pleasanr chocolate and coffee aroma. The flavour is very bold and intense, with masses of expresso and sweet and bitter, creamy chocolate, with some vanilla and a touch of spice in the background . There a light to medium roasty bitterness at the end which balances things out very nicely. The palate is really creamy and the carbonation soft. A truly wonderful coffee stout.
