330ml bottle at Piccadilly Pub in Bodø. Stable fawn-coloured head to a near-black body. Clingy lacing. Attractive aromas of dark chocolate malts, dark bread, and dark fruits, nicely roasted. Rich and well balanced taste of chocolate, liquorice, dried and dark fruits followed by a coffee bite to a roasted bitter ending. Good depth and smooth on the swallow. Lovely porter in the direction of a black IPA. (Meet-up with Tor, Bodø 15.08.2021).

Bottle from Geers. Cloudy black, stable, frothy, beige head. Aroma of fondant, coffee roast, pipe tobacco, walnut shell, dried orange peel, grapefruit juice, pine resin, toast. Taste has restrained sweet fig, plum & mandarin, quickly turning towards bitter coffee, fondant & 'earthy' grapefruit over a thick toasty malty base. Bitter, piney hoppy finish, lingering citrus peel & powdery coffee & tobacco. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Masterful Porter - or Black IPA?

Bottle at Piccadilly, Bod. Pours a dark brown to black colour with a creamy beige head. Aroma of coffee, nuts, ryebread, smoke, nougat and grapefruit. Flavour filled with roasted malt ash, nuts, very dark chocolate, grass and grapefruit. Has a slick mouth feel, medium to full body and a medium bitterness. Solid and tasteful. More a black IPA.

Porter or not porter. The Brewery is off course The Boss. But I claim….this is an almost perfect black ipa. Or a new style. Porter ipa. Excellence in a bottle is another statement from me myself. Holy Easter Bunny this was pure love. Sold black body and a nice beige head Good intensity in the aroma. Dark malt and the ipa stuff. Moderate sweet and fine bitterness. Nice duration A pleasant carbonation level made it very easy to drink Lovely balanced flavor with dark malt, roast, tropical fruits, pine, citric and some chocolate. From bottle 08.03.21 at the Airbnb flat in Kristiansand during corona shut-down of bars and restaurants. Ebony. Foamt and persistent brown head. Aroma and taste of American hops, grapefruits, mandarins, passion fruit, cigar box, coffee, green coffee beans, rosted barley and brittle. Also a hint of cough medicine. Taste and citrus bitterness is lingering on. Complex and good!
