Can from the brewery. Appearance - deep amber to brown. Off white fluffy head. Nose - soft fudge note. Malty bread. Taste - creamy caramel and sweet milk chocolate. Palate - close to medium bodied with a lightly roasted finish. Overall - quite nice though I would say in style that this approximated closer to a Mild in style.

440ml can from Beer Heroes, Chester: BB 17th Aug 2021. Drank at home on 27th Sep 2020. Lovely red/amber body, thin white head that soon departed. Malty front with the Rye being the dominant grain within the brew, aroma and taste wise. Light hop notes for balance, pleasant.

Can. Hazy dark red, small white head, good retention and lacing; promising. Aroma of sweet deep malts, hoppy, grapefruit, citrus, pine; inviting Taste is sweet complex layered malts, caramel, biscuit, grapefruit, pine, a hint of spice (a bit more would have been even nicer), a slight sourness but not overdone. Finish has the spice with a citrus note and a moderate bitterness; excellent Body is moderate to full and the soft carbonation works well with the body; very good A lot of thought has gone into this one. It has a malt depth to it but at the same time retains a subtlety and moreish quality to it. I think this is even better than Tiny Rebel's 'Cwtch' which was also very good in the same style.
