Sött Men Inte Rött - Habanero

Sample. Pours clear pale golden. Aroma is very similar to the non-habanero, a bit dusty, lots of pollen. Body is heavy and super spicy, I feel almost nothing else. Too hot for me. Kinda works, but this simply becomes one-dimensional for me.

Bottle. Nose is Chilli, floral honey, blueberry. Palate is very hot, floral honey, blueberry, hot finish. Not for my palate

Golden with no head. Aroma is bourbon, vanilla, oak, peppers. Taste is sweet honey with intense hot finish. A bit too much for enjoyability. But I like hot so this is really nice.

Bottle shared by tderoeck, cheers! No head (and not expected either of course), pale straw- to champagne-like colour. Aroma of crisp, freshly cut, smokey Habanero peppers, honey, dry white pepper, grape peel, pear syrup, chalk, white raspberries. Very sweet and sticky honey taste, more sugary than sugar, sweet white fruit accents, oily mouthfeel, quickly shifting to a very strong, spicy chili heat, eventually dominating completely and tasting a bit like the hot and spicy oil used on pizzas and the like. I love capsaicin so this is a lovely thing for me, but I can imagine people who are not as used to chili heat could be unable to drink this...

Clear pale yellow mead, no head. Aroma: spicy, chilli peppers are very present, sweet, honey, ripe apples. MF: full body, bit cloying. Taste: holy bim bam, that's a lot of chillies, ripe apples, cider, honey, sweet, bit fruity, some vanilla notes. Aftertaste: lots and lots of chilli peppers, very hot and spicy, more overripe apples, apple sauce, more chillies.

25 cl bottle on December 28, 2016.Hazy to shady straw yellow to pale golden color, leaves a thick oily residue on the glass. Sweet, floral, white wine, gooseberries, spicy, cinnamon scent. Sweet, spicy, cinnamon, then comes the heat taste. Honey, spicy, cinnamon, chili heat, some raw chili aftertaste. Full smooth mouthfeel, very present almost intense heated finish.

Bottle courtesy of tkrjukoff. Pours tiny hazy pale reddish golden leaving some subtle legs on the glass with a swirl. Smell is floral, slightly fruity and tiny vegetal with floral honey, pale caramel, cocoa butter, raspberries, hay, minerals, fruity orange chili fruits, nose-tingling capsicum, lemon peal and hints of alcohol. Taste is sweet, slightly floral, tiny fruity and heavy spicy hot. Mouthfeel is soft, round, olily, very tiny tart, heavy spicy hot, tiny boozy and medium bodied. Finish is sweet with honey, heavy habanero, minerals, lemon peal and hints of raspberries. On it’s own this is just plain too heavy on the habanero but I can see this being awesome served with other things.
