Bottle split with the Wingman at LBL, 23/02/18. Black pour with a decent tan covering. Nose is mellow roast, spice, tea leaves, toffee, cocoa whisper. Taste comprises lapsang tea, light chocolate, ashen notes, toffee, fruit rinds. Medium bodied, fine carbonation , drying close Decent porter with a twist ... Lapsang evident but doesn't take over.

Keg at London Brewers Market. It pours dark brown with a small beige head. The aroma is earthy, savoury, liquorice, salty, umami, touch of smoke and cocoa. The taste is dry, bitter, liquorice, roasted malt, smooth smoke, dark chocolate, sticky, treacle and toasted nut with a smooth finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Decent overall.

Keg at the London Brewers' Market. Pours deep brown with a small, creamy tan head. The nose has some smokey tea, hints of cocoa. Light-medium sweet flavour with nice ashy roast, more smoke, dry chocolate. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Dry finish, nips of coffee, more smoke and ashy roast. Nice.
