(On tap @ Mikkeller Viktoriagade, Copenhagen, May 7/19) Pours black with a small pale tan ring. Aroma of rather sweet rich dark chocolate, fudgy caramel, toasted nuts, rich bourbon, soft vanilla, decent presence of sweet cinnamon, a bit of roast. Flavour is fairly heavily sweet but also moderately bitter for balance, again lots of dark chocolate, some fudge, sweet and warming bourbon presence, moderate roast and good presence of pecans, earthy and a bit woody, cinnamon is smooth and a bit fruity, finishing semi-sweet but with nicely earthy bitterness from the cacao, good charred oak structure, a little roasted grain, pecan astringency is pleasant, some cinnamon in the aftertaste. Full-bodied, oily, faily soft carbonation, a little warming booze. Really nice pastry BA job here, the balance is very good and the adjuncts all well-dosed. Impressive brewing.

Bottle split at Columbus, thanks to new Ken, 31/07/19. Black with a good sized tan head. Nose is chocolate, toffee fudge, molasses, brown sugar, vanilla essence, dark malts. Taste comprises chocolate pot, pecan nut, rocky roads, caramel, coffee bean, mellow roast, vanilla, coconut shavings. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced warming boost. Solid decadent affair.

Bottle shared in London - huge thanks to New Ken! Pours oily black-brown with a creamy, tan head. Delicious, with rich chocolate character, toasted coconut, fudge, light ashy roast, burnt marshmallows, alcohol, vanilla. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, moderately sticky, more decadent chocolate. Outstanding.

KYGGK 120920. Black color with a brown head. Aroma is molasses, roasted malt, chocolate. Flavor is molasses, chocolate, roasted malt, spices, cinnamon, alcohol, bourbon, coffee. Very nice beer.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Lior D's place. Black, brown foam. Lots of chocolate, vanilla, a bit of cinnamon, roast, sweet, full-bodied. Great.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, cinnamon and alcohol. Taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter with long warm, chocolate, nutty and cinnamon finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, 75cl. A black beer topped by a small tan head. The aroma has lots of booze and pecan, with dark chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, bourbon and some spiced hints. Molasses hints. It's full-bodied, smooth and warming on the palate, with a good sweetness. Brown sugar, molasses, cinnamon, coffee and bourbon in the flavor. Less nutty than the aroma. Lasting sweet finish with lots of good flavors. Delicious. 200912
