Our favourite and most regularly brewed hoppy pale. With a dry-hopping bill of Citra Cryo, Galaxy, Mosaic and Vic Secret, our house hazy pale has a sublime drinkability due to a beautifully balanced hop character.

Sweet, fruity bursts harmonise with crisp pine and citrus flavours and result in a juicy, mouthwatering pale that really puts a smile on your face. Vegan.

Draft at The Twelve Taps, Whitstable. Poured a hazy yellow golden colour with a thin white head. The aroma is grassy, nettle hops, light citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a fresh, crisp, dank, mineral, earthy, light hop burn, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Can, courtesy of Dann and Martha. Hazed pale gold. A few suds of white. Not particularly a looker. Nose has a bit of a weird rubbery, coconut thing going on. Some creamy malts. Bit of citrus. Taste is sweet and slightly twangy bitter. I dunno, but there’s an odd mouthfeel here too. A bit flabby. Foamy carbonation. Twangy bitterness to finish. As with an LHG beer yesterday, I didn’t get on with this at all, but the missus really liked it. Who knew.

Nice hazy yellow body and good white foam on top. Kind of a musty papaya with breadfruit on the nose, chalky, a little too soft. Taste is good chalky breadfruit, papaya notes, ending dry. Nice in terms of hazy pale ales, well made but not really memorable.

Keg draught at BrewDog Tower Hill. Light gold and hazy with an uneven film of white head. A fair bit of lacing. Barley sugar and cantaloupe in the aroma. Sweet taste, fruity and sugary, with the lightest of hoppy notes on the short finish. Light vegetal notes in the aftertaste alongside the sweet tropical fruit. Watery body, heavy carbonation. While far from perfect its a decent drink and certainly worth trying.

Can at home picked up wirg LHG online. A translucent yellow straw coloured pour with a big ol' frothy white head. Aroma is dry woody citrus, grass, little diesel, white grape. Flavour is composed of dry flaky wheat, dry pissy citrus, grass, tangerine, light mineral soft wheat. Palate is semi crisp, flaky, frothy carbonation. Good.
