An Amber Ale with 18% Rye malt to add a dry and biscuit quality to the beer. Rich malts add caramel character and Chinook hops add citrus, pine and spice while Cascade adds more spice and citrus with added floral notes. Clean US05 yeast is used to allow the hops to shine through.

Can from Beer Zoo. Clear amber body with lots of flecks floating beneath a thin off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of resin, wood and berries. Flavour of nuts, underripe strawberry and caramel. Thin body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Nicely flavoured and easy to drink.

Keg at Waterloo Tap. Vague spicy malty aroma. Opaque bubbly light chestnut. Thick foamy off-white head. Light bitter. Spicey rye unsurpsingly dominates. Some underlying sourness and boiled veg. Medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Astringent finish. Not particularly interesting. A bland ale with some spice from the rye.
