Tap at Moeder Lambic Original, Bryssel. Color is slightly cloudy golden with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Fruits, some hops, some Belgian yeast elements, malts....

Bottle. Color: Clear golden to orange amber, large frothy white head. Aroma: Tart, some wild yeast and wood, Lambic-like with some subtle spicy notes. Taste: Combination of Lambic like moderate tart, fruity berries, citrus notes, wild yeast funk and lightly spicy and very lightly smoky, moderate to over moderate bitter Saison. Dry mouthfeel, especially at the bitter and fruity finish. Just under medium body, just below average carbonation. Starting somewhat more to the Lambic side when freshly opened, going somewhat more to the bitter and Saison side when standing longer. Nice one.

Sampled from bottle. must have had it before during Tour De Geuze, but seems like I didn't take notes (or lost them, who's to say) . Pours an unclear amber. Medium sized head, medium to medium high stability. Scent is mostly the lambic funk (including the typical apple aroma of an Oud Beersel! ) , some oak. Taste has surprisingly intense smoke, but it's no overkill, as the lambic joins in later and washes quite a lot of smoke away. Fairly dry. Mild sourness. Quite a bit buttery, but it seems to work in this beer. medium body, medium to medium high, sharp carbo. Hey, there's a smokey beer out there I actually like !

Lovely light stuff. Nice oakiness, got the beersel lambic thing further down. Very easy drinking.

Bottle from LDW. Hazy golden colour, white foam. Lactic sourness, some fruity hints, nice tart with light bready notes.

Frischer, angenehm säuerlicher Beginn. Spritzig, erhöhte Karbonisierung, trocken. Leicht herb, geringe Würzigkeit, angenehm runde Lambiknoten. Trocken, vollmundig, langer Nachhall. 10/11/11/10/9/11

Flaska från Etre Gourmete. Inblandad lambic från Oude Beersel ger fin lite funkig lambickaraktär, antydan till rökighet men iaf läder och torv gifter sig riktigt väl. Fat, citrus, måttlig syrlig men torr och ganska stram ändå. Mycket gott.

33cl bottle. A clear dark golden beer with a white head. Aroma of tart fruits, apricot, grapes. Taste of mild tart fruits, grapes, herbs.

30/08//2019 @ home - 33cl bottle from Willems & Zoon. Clear orange, medium white head. Nose is lambic, wood, lemon, bit vanilla. Taste is sour, lambic, lemon, green apple, wood tannins.

'Versnijbier' of a sour ale by De Leite and Oud Beersel lambic, bottle from Dranken De Moor in Haasdonk. Medium thick, mousy, off-white, large-bubbled, slowly opening and diminishing head, misty peach blonde robe with pale orange hue. Aroma of sour plums, grass silage, raw rhubarb, old jute bags, green gooseberries, kefir, raw cucumber, old apple peel, haystack, raw pineapple. Fruity sourness in the mouth, sour plum, redcurrant, unripe nectarine and gooseberry impressions with a dash of raw cucumber thrown in but also a sweeter apple-ish core; spritzy carb, refreshing. Yoghurty lactic sourness with a thin lemony edge continues to dry a white-bready and lightly rusk-like maltiness, while fruity notes keep abounding towards a somewhat dusty and hayish finish - clearly very lambic-like; a late, deep, earthy hop bitterness shows up after that, again as in lambic, but the finish as a whole comes across as 'cleaner', less funky and more accessible than would typically be the case in a one hundred percent lambic beer. Yoghurty effects linger too. This delivers exactly what it promises: a typical fruity Leite sour with a good portion of lambic thrown in, but the clean, fruity, soft character of Leite's basic beer keeps it all relatively accessible and 'easy'. More than decent, very enjoyable sour in any case, that much is certain.
