The juicy sweetness of peaches, the delicate acidity of apricots; closely related, but distinctly different. In Apripêche, we marry these delectable stone fruits into a thirst-quenching Belgian-style witbier, then add just the right amount of a tart Flemish golden ale. The delicious result is an artful interplay of sweet nectar, hazy refreshment, and wine-like acidity.

Very hazy golden and straw coloured body with a nice, two to three centimetre tall off-white head that fades fairly quickly and leaves no trace after just a few seconds. Aroma of strong tart wheat, grass, flowers and peaches, for sure, just as the name implies with a lactobilly kick and perhaps some bretty notes, but a lot of wheat, no real sour qualities, but a lot of peaches, too. Medium-bodied; Relatively straight-forward tart and peachy notes dominate the flavour with some moderate wheat notes that show some lactobilly funk and a dash of cream, but not too much else and fairly easy-drinking with a modicum of tartness and funky qualities, but this is pretty reserved for peaches and pure wheat. Aftertaste is crisp, fairly straight-forward and simplistic with the tart wheat and stone fruit flavours by far the strongest, but this all goes down easily, and perhaps a great beer to drink in summer/late summer given it's ratio of flavour to drinkability (high). Overall, a very nice and pretty elegant beer while showing some good notes and simplistic profile and approachable in terms of format, alcohol and characteristics makes this a pretty nice option for pretty much anyone willing to at least 'try' a beer. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Wegman's [grocery] in Woodbridge (Potomac Mills), Virginia on 02-November-2021 for US$1,99 (part of a mixed six pack!) sampled at my house here in Washington on 07-September-2022.

Can from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours translucent gold with a decent white head. Aroma made me think of peach jam - which is weird because it is also tartish. Near medium body. Tart, but not very sour. It has apricot and peaches. A bit wheaty in the finish. Dry and tasty.
