Padrino is our attempt to capture the bold elements of Italian Espresso. We've added some vanilla to smooth the transition between the rough coffee edge and the sweet stout body. We also added a twist of lemon to brighten the beer and tease your senses a bit.

16 oz. can. Thanks Tom. Aroma of Espresso, vanilla, nuts, chocolate. Flavor is a direct reflection of the aroma, real nice. Great full body and creamy texture.

16oz can pours a opaque black, viscous, oily with some sandy head. Nose has booze and licorice off the top, a lot of espresso and coffee liqeuer, some vanilla but far more chocolate. The lemon is there too and it works. Flavor has more of the vanilla and still plenty of chocolate, molasses, some babka, licorice, mild spice, very thick malt syrup. Funny, the lemon is there and helps cut the sweetness. Full bodied, but drinks was easier than 15%. The kind of beer I love to hate, but I didn't, well made. 8 5 8 5 16

Tap@Himmeriget, Copenhagen (Aslin TTO) - black pour with a nice deep brown head. Sweet dark malty with opulent velvety chocolate, some great coffee roasted notes in play, singed brown sugar, sweet caramel and fudge sweetness flooding in, sweet full bodied mouthfeel and body, decadent sweet malty chocolate and vanilla coalesce into the close.

Sampled from a 16oz pour at Aslin's Snow Daze event. Poured a pitch black color with a small white head. Aroma was roasted malts. Lots of booze here. Certainly a sipper here. Coffee, smooth, roasted chocolate. Smooth, but heat is definitely there.
