Golden Ale is a gloriously deep gold colour with hints of citrus and a zesty, slightly sweet taste.

Bottle from Warwick Real Ale. Appearance - not golden, rather amber to copper. Off-white proportionate head. Nose - brown bread, hazelnut and just a hint of orange peel. Taste - bread and nuts again. Citrus if you go searching. Palate - close to medium bodied. Creamy texture. Decent bitterness on the finish. Overall - decent, but more of a Bitter than a Golden Ale.

500ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Oct 20. Thanks Jeremy for this one. Pours amber, small white head. Burnt twigs, earthy hop and smoky leather on the nose and to taste. Can't imagine that was the intended result. Odd.

Monday 26th October 2020; Shrewsbury Monthly Beer Share, in Chez Sophie. Five beer geeks, one aim! 500ml bottle; BBE Jul 2021, brought by me. Golden amber pour, clear and clean, white crown on top. Malty front to the nose and taste, strange 'singed' twang, slight infection somewhere?

Bottle from Inn at Home, Guildford. Pours dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of fruit, toffee, hop and malt with a hint of coffee and chocolate. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, slightly fizzy carbonation. Fruity, malty, coffee finish. Very nice.
