Black Dabinett is a wonderfully rich, sweet, dark juice so we decided to ferment it out to dry in an old whisky barrel where it has been balanced by the oak.
To lift the finished cider and bring those wonderful flavours to the fore we'll be bottle conditioning this batch to give it a light sparkle.

Sample thanks to danlo! Misty gold appearance. Fruity citrus aroma. Taste brings soft apple fruit, breezy lemon notes, soft tannin. Decent.

1/10/2020. Sample courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed! Pours slightly hazy pale gold with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of apples, citrus, vanilla, light wood. Taste quite sweet and a little perfumed, not unlike pear drops. Moderate body, light spritzy carbonation. Light bitter edge to finish. Not bad.

330ml bottle Manchester Cider Club tasting 10Sep20. Hazy golden colour, no lasting head and aroam of wood, funky, apple and yeast. Taste is fruity apple tangy, woody barrel, vanilla, mellow, citric. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry finish. Nicely drinkable.
