When it’s cold outside, Saxby’s Mulled Cider is perfect! Just heat it gently to release the appley flavour and rich, spicy aromas of cardamom, cinnamon and star anise. Also try added to Prosecco for a festive drink. Available from the Autumn each year.

There is a blend of fresh apple mixed with the spices to the fore ending with the cinnamon closely followed by raisins.

Hot at Saxby's stall, Hampton Court Festive Fayre. Aroma combines spice with juicy apple. Cloudy dark amber. No head. Rich spice with a light sour edge. Apple crumble. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average carbonation. Long finish. Warming seasonal stuff.

Sample, thanks to Grumbo! Misty amber, thin foamy ring of head. Gente spicy nose. Fuzzy soft carbonation. Cinnamon and cardamom emerge gently, quite a measured spicy presence with additional toffee apple notes. Decent.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Golden amber colour, some white bubbles on top that dissipate away and aroma of spice, cardamon, cinnamon, apple. Taste is sweetish, apple strudel, spice, bittersweet. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry spiced finish. Quite OK

26/8/2020. Bottle from the Towcester Mill Brewery Shop. Pours clear amber with a short lasting bubbly white head. Aroma is appley, spiced with cardamom and star anise which hide the cinnamon, and slightly perfumed. Medium sweetness and light bitter/tart. Moderate body, watery and oily texture, light carbonation.
