440ml can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie July 20. Thanks Mike for this! Hazed dark appearance, medium beige head. Chocolatey nose. Thick, rich, unctious in tone. Rich chocolate brownie notes, with a curious appealing treacle sweetness coursing through. Gentle roast bitterness. Very good.

Can from the Vineyard, Belfast. Appearance - jet black with a deep crema head. This disappears quickly. Nose - sweet chocolate and malt loaf. Taste - dark chocolate, going into black jacks, lovely start of burnt sugar and almost molasses, but not quite. Palate - roasty texture. Medium to full bodied. Balanced roast on the finish. Good linger. Overall - loveliness, all day long!
