The name Applejack derives its name from a method called Fractional Freezing which dates back to colonial times in America where Cider was allowed to freeze in sub-zero temperatures during mid-winter and the ice removed leaving a much higher concentration which significantly increases the alcohol content and flavour.

Sample thanks to Ed. Drunk sat along the river on a super hot day. Misty golden yellow, aroma is vibrant rich caramlised apple. Good vibrant apple fruit to taste, tart with nice soft textures and gentle orchard funk. Nowhere near as acidic as I feared and surprisingly drinkable for the strength! Good.

24/5/2020. Sample courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed! Pours slightly hazy golden amber with minimal head. Aroma of rich apple, caramel, touch of wood, funk, citrus and just a slight note of manure. Moderate sweetness and medium tartness, dry and sharp finish. Medium plus body, soft carbonation.

500ml bottle from Tutts Clump. Hazy golden colour, afew short-lived bubbles on top and aroma of apple & caramel. Taste is sweet, tangy, tart, apple, sharp, boozy, with some dry citric notes. Medium bodied, low carbonation, drying finish. Doesn't taste the abv, quite lethal!
