Malted barley, oats. The equivalent to Table Beer in our range of stouts and porters. Not brewed to 'dry stout'-style, per se, but a stout that is dry. Light-bodied but not thin, with more prominent kettle-hopping and then dry-hopping to add some brightness and contrast to the roasty, biscuity, and savoury character of the dark malts.

Bottle at home, 01/09/15. Black with a decent tan covering that retains well. Nose is light coffee, hops, liquorice, cocoa powder, toffee, light pine strokes. Taste comprises light coffee, dark berry fruit, cocoa, earthy hops, light pine. Medium bodied, fine to lightly prickly carbonation, drying close. Solid session gear, shades of CDA, hops come through well.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Black body with a thin beige head. Faint lacing. Aroma of ash, lime chutney, toast and burnt wood. Flavour of Terryโs chocolate orange, grass, blueberries, toast scrapings and nuts. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft carbonation. A bit weird. The fruity flavours of Mosaic are much better suited to IPAs and APAs. This is like a Session Black IPA.

Draught at the brewery. Black pour with a beige head. Aromas of chocolate, blackberry with a spot of sour fruit. Soft dark fruit and coffee flavours. Dry as a bone this one or is that just my throat? Good.

Tap@The Kernel Brewery, London - dark brown verging black coloured pour with tan head. Aroma and taste is roasted malty, with some pleasing chocolate/cocoa notes, some caramel and toffee sweetness creeping in along side some burnt roasted malty nuance, solid hoppy qualities throughout. Nice.
