Brown-amber pour with a small white head. Aromas of (candied) orange peel, honey, (sweet) white bread; tase of honey, orange, toffee/caramel, fruit cake, hint of thyme in the finish. Enjoyable.

Bière 33 cl bue sur une terrasse au bord du port à Malte. Pas très typique pour un mois de juin où il fait 35 degrés mais c'est pas grave... Ils n'ont plus que ça en stock jolie étiquette qui représente les ingrédients de la bière, j'aime beaucoup ! Robe couleur caramel avec énormément de dépôt, de gros morceaux type levure. Peu de mousse. Nez très épicé avec une forte dominante de racine de galanga. Bouche légèrement amère, épicée, une saveur vraiment originale et fraîche, moi qui n'aime pas les bières d'hiver en général, je trouve que celle-ci très réussie. À noter que la brasserie met à l'honneur des ingrédients locaux et notamment le miel de caroube local, réalisé par une entreprise voisine de la leur. (M)

28/7/2018. Bottle at Højbjerg tasting. Purchased at Corks. Pours slightly hazy dark amber brown with a small off-white head. Aroma dominated by winter spices, toffee, rich fruit cake, malt, chocolate, carob and light honey. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture, bit above average carbonation. Decent spiced winter ale, bit too fizzy, otherwise enjoyable.

Bottle @ Højbjerg tasting 28 July. Pours hazy copper brown with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of cnnamon and cloves, with notes of malt and yeast and touches of caramel. Sweetish flavour of malt and yeast, with fruity and hoppy hints and touches of cinnamon and cloves. Estery and spicy aftertaste. Well, not that bad.

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. MOderate bitter spicey flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

Bottle @ Saxo tasting. Clear amber brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, honey and Christmas spices. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish with a little warming alcohol. Sticky. 280718

Bottle @ Højbjerg tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich christmas spices, caramel, fruits, hops and honey. Sweet and spicy.
