Tap at Red Lion, Jewelry Quarter, Birmingham. Clear gold with brief thin white top. Semi-sweet, tangy apple juice, somewhat woody but not much complexity. Light bodied, easy drinking, mid to high carbonation. Aims towards mass market fodder and is a bit above average in that regard but that's about it.

Can 33 cl. Comes as ‘Apfel Räuber’. Pours a clear golden with a lacing, white head. Lightly sweet apple aroma. Medium body, clean apple notes but rather sweet with only a faint tartness. Drinkable though. 140924

Ziemlich lange Zutatenliste für einen Apfelwein (der eigentlich die einzige Zutat sein sollte). Recht säuerlich in der Nase. Beim Trinken ist davon nicht mehr viel vorhanden. Hier bestimmt die Süße. Im Antrunk und im Mittelteil recht „apfelig“, läuft dann aber eher flach aus. Der Alkohol ist kaum rauszuschmecken. Spritzig.

Keg @ Brown Hare, Preston. Golden with a head and a carbonation. Lightly sweetened apple in taste, plenty of the fruit in aroma. It has a slightly bittered aftertaste.
