Aroma is a pungent mix fresh ground coffee, raspberries, field berries, and roasted malt. Tart, sweet raspberries lead the taste profile. Dark chocolate, shaved wood, roasted malt and a touch of booziness all work well together. Dense but not sticky. Slightly slick mouth feel

--Keg at Akkurat, Stockholm. -- Black, firm beige head. Tart nose with lots of frozen raspberries. Tartish with medium to full body and rounded mouthfeel. Frozen raspberries dominates. Some ashy coffee and chocolate. Resinous bitter finish. Way too much raspberries.

Draught at Monk's: pours black with beige head. Aroma is chocolate, raspberry and some coffee. Berry fruitiness nicely compliments the rich malty chocolate. Good.

5oz pour at The Magnet. Pours black with beige head. Aroma has raspberries, dark chocolate, and espresso. Flavour is surprisingly bitter with lots of burnt espresso and cacao, the raspberry is incorporated in a weird way. The nose is quite nice, but the flavour is quite ham-fisted.

Poured from the tap @ Magnet. Very dark brown with small beige head. Chocolate, artificial strawberry/raspberry blend that gives a slightly medicinal note. The adjunct element doesn’t really come together for me.

(Tap) Black with big tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate and notes of raspberry. Full bodied, smooth with carbonation. Amazing taste with tart raspberry jousting with bitter coffee on a bed of dark toffee and dark roast grains. Excellent.

(355ml bottle from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours pitch black with a small mocha coloured head. Aroma of raspberry jam, tart fresh berries, unsweeteened chocolate, berry pips, earthy burnt grains, ash. Flavour dominated by sweet and slightly tart jammy raspberries, berry pip bitterness, and heavily roasted malts with a bit of chocolate and a lot of burnt grain and ash, coffee is not really detectable beyond contributing to that earthy burnt bitterness. Semi-sweet up front, finishing dry and heavily bitter. Medium-bodied, slick, not the biggest mouthfeel. I didn't love the raspberry addition, I don't think it brings out the best of the base.
