The basis is a light draft beer brewed in the traditional Czech two-mouth style from barley malt, quality hops, especially Zatec varieties and its own spring water. It is fermented in classic open fermentation vats with carefully selected cultures of brewer's yeast and is fermented in horizontal lager tanks, where it is flavored with natural cherry juice. It does not contain any chemical additives or artificial colors, but gives this drink a crimson color and a delicious taste, which is complemented by the hop bitterness of beer and the sweetly bitter taste of cherries.

Tap @ Fat Cat, Prague. Nice head with good duration. Color is red. Aroma and taste are rich cherries, malt, fruits and hops. Sweet cherry finish.

Tap at KMP after ages of ignoring it. A new tick, yay! Clearish ruby body, lightly pinkish head. Cherry syrup, slightly dusty and sweet in the aroma. Dry cherry-marzipan taste, not too sweet, showing some maltiness and a light herbal bitter finish. Aight, not a monstrosity but the cherry does feel fake really and I really don't see a context when I'd order a big one, let alone another. But I guess it's there for Kasteel Rouge addicts when that is unavailable.

Bottle at Kolding ølmesse 2021. Distinct cherry aroma, not fat or sweet, though. Almost clear red colour. Small pink head. The flavour is slightly sweet and nicely citric. Decent level of cherry. Bitter and astringent finish.

[ As Rohozec Cherry Beer ].
ABV: 3.9%. Clear medium to dark red colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, pink head. Aroma is moderate cherry, sweet cherry, sour cherry, almonds, marzipan. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, sugary cherry, cherry, almonds, cherry puree. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20210109]
