Can from Kisjes Slijterijen, Meppel. Aroma is sweet brown barley malt, caramel, raisins, dried fruits, a touch of orange, candy, light booze. Flavour is sweet with a moderate bitterness. Pretty straightforward Barleywine.

Can shared by Caesar. Clear red color, exactly as a barleywine should be. Off-white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, sweet sticky barley wine, brown candy sugar. Medium to full body, suitable soft carbonation. Lovely beer.

Can. Almost clear amber beer, decent bubbly pale tan head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft smooth malts, a light creamy sweetness. Some mild caramel. A little spice. Plenty of ripe fruits with a trace of tea. The whole thing feels quinticentially old fashioned English but turned up to 11. Soft and ripe fruitu with a light must. Can't but help like it's old fashioned flavour.

Can. Dark Brown color. Caramel And a hint of roast in the aroma. Caramel, Milk chocolate And some dried fruit in the sweet flavor. Slightly alcoholic. Fairly Simple brew.

Can at home. Pours deep orange, nose is caramel, marzipan, bready, tangerine, taste is juicy fruit, sweet, raisin, almond, nice.

Zoet, caramel, moutig. Beetje ijzer/roest in de smaak.

Sweet and barleymaltish. But only a little. Very thin, boring and disappointing. Kees can make awesome barleywines, but he seemed to forget that this time.
