I’m a big fan of Citra so when I spotted this at Kyoto Isetan for 6 bucks I pounced. It’s also been awhile since I’ve had a Knee Deep beer! Knee Deep Citra Lights Single Hop Pale Ale 5.5% 30 IBU Matte gold with a dense off-white foam and big fruity Citra bouquet. Quite full bodied with a stinky bitter Dank fruity hop profile. A bit more bitter than I’m used to these days, classic APA type bitterness. Good stuff.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 18B). Can 34 cl - Batch unknown (BBF unknown - Canned on 05/28/2020). AROMA: medium-low pine note, medium isovaleric and medium-low neutral malt, slightly sweet with a slight oxidation note (stale). APPEARANCE: gold color and slightly hazy. medium white head, creamy with good retention. TASTE: initial medium-low hop flavor with an overall pine character. medium-low to low oxidation notes (dried grass). medium overall malt background, neutral and slightly sweet, starting to show oxidation. medium bitterness with a dry and slightly bitter finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium-low to low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: an american pale starting to show signs of aging. demands re-tasting.

Nice little pale ale. Lots of citra on the nose, and a decent malt body. Light bitter finish. Golden pour with decent head. Pleasant and easy drinking pale. Can.

Another can of ubiquitous IPA? From cally none the less. Smells like, tastes like. Yes, stronger than most APA, definitely in the IPA strata. I think I even get a slight detectable warming sensation. Surprising. Taste is much stronger alky than 6%. Yes, one big kick ass beer. However, I do sense a little welcomed cutting co2 in the finish. Smooths it out, just a little, heheheh. Definately more than a go 2 brew.

12oz can pours with a clear deep gold body that supports a thin white head of foam. The aroma offers up a bit of biscuit malts, orange candy, soft grapefruit and some mango. The taste delivers some thin biscuit malts, spicy yeasty notes, bitter grapefruit and juicy to bitter berry and mango and floral hoppiness. Nice crushable Pale.

On tap in Australia! Golden pour. Pine nose. Malty in mouth with subdued but present hops. Some fruitiness but very balanced. Pleasant but not amazing.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours coppery gold with a large foamy white head. Lots of citrus wafts from the pour. Near med body. Flavor is mostly citrus, well the hop is all citrus, but there's a bit of roasty malt support. Dry. Hoppy. Bitter. Very tasty APA.
