Bottle. Clear dark amber body with a big, frothy tan head. Weak in aroma, malt and slightly spicy with Christmas spices. Flavor is much the same, pretty discrete in flavors, malt, bread, some dry fruit and hint of Christmas spices, feels dry where the spices feels a bit like the powder version instead of fresh. Medium body and short in aftertaste. Drinkable but not very exiting.

Dark brown color with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, spices, bread. Aroma is dry, spice, roasted malt, bread, caramel, licorice, herbs. Nice/OK beer.

Flaske 500ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Sentrum. Mørk amber. 90% skum selv ved lav kvelling. Luftig skum som daler (altfor) sakte. Litt lacing. Aroma av røstet malt med hint av bær. Smaken søt frukt.

500 ml bottle, batch #284, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.5%. Dark brown colour, large off-white to beige head. Aroma of malts, some of them lightly roasted, hints of burnt breadcrumbs. Fizzy mouthfeel. Medium roast malts in the fairly dry flavour, a hint of liquorice in the aftertaste. One-dimensional and uninteresting.

500ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Langnes. Mahogany coloured body, bubbly, fawn-coloured head, spotty lacing. Inviting smell of mid-sweet caramel malts and bread. Rich taste of toffee, liquorice, biscuit, and a nice, lingering backdrop of leafy hops. Well bodied. Nice, with Yuletide qualities. Transparent dark color with some ruby notes. Huge tan head. Good lacing. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium + body and a bit rich carbonation level. Fizzy mouth feeling. Balanced sweetness. Fruity, cocoa, roast and toffee in the flavor. Nice evening sipper, apart from the high carbonation level.
