Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Sentrum. Batch 106. Mørk amber. Middels høyt luftig skum med litt farge. Daler sakte. Lett sherryaroma med spor av krydder. Smaken søte kaker & karamell. Lett tørr avslutning. Litt bunnfall ga uklar siste kvelling.

330 ml bottle, batch #106, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABv is 6%. Moderately gushing botttle, overcarbonated. Cloudy brown colour, coarse off-white head. Nice aroma of Belgian ale yeast, brown kandij sugar and caramel, hints of mild spices. Fizzy mouthfeel. The flavour has the same elements as the aroma, but is blander than desirable.

330 ml bottle. Almost clear dark brown body with a big, lacing beige head. Strong aroma of caramel malt, dry fruit and toast. Flavor is sweet, smooth dark malt, caramel, dry fruit, light candy sugar, toast and moderate bitterness. Fine balanced body and very smooth aftertaste. Not very typical Abbey Dubbel in style but no brown ale either, maybe something in-between? Anyway a very decent Christmas beer if your idea of a Christmas beer is something to match your Christmas food as rib, meat, turkey etc. It’s a good match and otherwise I think it’s a very pleasant beer as it is as well. Smoother and less spicy than Julekjesk and probably easier to drink for the average consumers and sometimes a nice tasting, uncomplicated beer is just what you want. I bought a few of this one and it seems to taste better every time without making any other explanation than its nice and smooth.

Quite dark body with a fine tan head. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium + body and soft carbonation level. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. The taste disappear to fast. Toffee, fruity, candy, some spices and bready flavor.
