Named, not because it contains oysters, but because oyster stouts were historically brewed to accompany them at the start of the oyster season in September. Skye Oyster Stout is smooth and creamy with a delicate hint of chocolate and has a soft and satisfying bittersweet aftertaste.

Bottle from Tomlinsons, Inverness. It pours deep ruby with a medium off-white head. The nose is roasted malt, earth, caramel, chocolate and dark fruit/berry. The taste is roasted malt, earth, chocolate, bitter-sweet, light saltiness, mild sourness and some dark fruit with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not bad.
