Corona Light Mexican Beer makes every day the lightest day with its distinctive hop flavor and pleasant fruity-honey aroma. This easy-drinking beer pairs well with spicy food and citrus dishes.

Bottle @ Timbers, Denver. Pours very light yellow, small white head. Barely any aroma, just hints of malt, corn, lemon. Thin watery taste, have to look hard for notes of malt and lemon. Thin watery body, lively carbonation. Taste like a thin beer watered down. 200212

Originally rated November 2005. Tonight, I am pulling off a Tropical Beerfest. Looks exciting... I know. All I am doing is comparing, one after the other, 4 brews that are tropical lagers. It is a great night to do this, as I am freezing my ass inside the house. Pours a very pale yellow colour and carbonation is very active. Some light foamy lacing. The skunk is smelt as soon as I pop the cap off. Less skunky a few minutes into it, and more on the malt side. No lemon, nor lime is found in this one, as I am reviewing the beer, not the social aspect of it. Very refreshing with its water mouthfeel. Not much in the taste, just a touch of grain malt in the aftertaste. Nothing offensive here, but just too light. Don’t know why this brew exists, as Corona itself is light enough. Ah well.

Bottle @ home. Fuck, I found this hiding in the back of my fridge. I must have picked it up in a mixer sixer and exiled it to the back of the fridge. Light, clear, golden appearance with a small white head. A touch of lime, slightly citrusy, light pale malty aroma. Very light bodied, very light pale malty, mild citrusy flavor. I really didn’t think this was that much worse than Corona but it seems like that right now.

Bottle in Sterling, Virginia. Pale gold with slight carbonation. Watery, with a hint of stale corn and cardboard. Basically inoffensive when drunk ice cold but became increasingly unpleasant as the temperature rose. I should really leave beers like this well alone.

Bottle. Yellow colour with a white head. What is there to say about this that nobody knows? Do not taste much, but refreshing in the sun. Thats all, and that is what you want sometimes.

Refrigerated bottle clear pale straw color. Medium body, no lacing, no carbonation, and virtually no head. Taste is light malt and a hint of skunk. The lime is needed, session beer only.

I’m more fascinated by the "light" beer style than anything else... I think it’s a social pressure thing, that people want to be seen drinking beer even though they hate beer. Or, they think they will get drunk too fast and need a beer that is unintrusive. Either way, the light beers fill a market need and who are we to deny them the opportunity to cash in on people too narcissistic to just order soda water with vodka? Thus, I pour this at room temperature - the only way to truly taste the varying flavours of a light beer - it pours a urine yellow with almost no head. Aroma of sweetened carboard and a bit of candy that you found under the couch cushions one friday night while drunk. Flavour is water with a weak grainy-cardboard aftertaste. Seriously, is their answer to the "light" question to just make it more watery? Poor showing, Corona. You suck.

12 oz bottle into English pint. Aroma is skunky, full of adjunct grain. Pours pale yellow with minimal head, okay lacing. Flavor is salty; no bitterness whatsoever. Tastes like your average cerveza. Medium carbonation. Bland.

Well, the ad campaign is true... this is in fact the only light beer that is also a Corona. Has all the taste of a Corona... well maybe a little less and the negligible amount of alcohol doe not help this beer. Overall a mediocre crappy beer, but not deserving of the 0 percentile thing. BTW, I didn’t pay for this beer... rather grabbed it at a Holiday party.
