Released March 24th 1979 Overkill is the second studio album Motörhead released in 1979 and was listed among the 100 Greatest Heavy Metal Albums of All Time.
It's a ferocious, ear-jarring and eye-watering album, perfectly showcasing Motörhead's trademark style of dirty no holds barred rock’n’roll delivered with a punk snarl and raw heavy metal attitude that forces itself into your mind, body and soul.
Overkill Pilsner was crafted with this in mind. Based on a Czech pilsner style with the late hop addition of Styrian Wolf hops which, adds a gentle fruity taste to its solid malty backbone. Crisp, clean and very refreshing but with a little bite!

0,440 can. Pours golden yellow, with quickly dissipating white head. Head disappears within 5 minutes. Aroma of malt, honey and fruits. Taste is malt and honey. Body is medium and crisp, with medium carbonation which is on the upper side. As it gets warmer, honey steps out even more. Finish is fruity and malty with a hint of honey of course.

Can from Kvickly Odder @ Home. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, light grassy hops, light citrus. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, malt, grass, light citrus. Medium body, average carbonation, light bitter finish. Decent enough, but kindof a poor tribute to one of the greatest band and albums out there. 231024

Can 440ml (KSM Kampus)
Golden colour, small white head. Light grain and metal in the nose. Light-bodied. Pils with English vibe. Light citrus and cracker malts. Quite boring pils.

At Goblet ZG. Clear golden body, white head. Flowery, malty aroma, light oxidized maltiness... doesn't feel that Styrian Wolfish, hm. Bready taste, oxidized maltiness, lightly flowery, lightly fruity. Meh, mkay.

Can, 0.44l. Clear copper pour, three finger frothy white head. Good retention, lasting head, some lacing on the glass. Sweet on the nose, malty and grainy, herbs, notes of coriander. Light body, lively carbonation. Soft mouthfeel and texture, mild fizzy, easily drinkable. Moderately bitter taste, subtle sweetness in the background. Aroma of malt, grains, herbs and spices. Coriander, grassy hops, touch of citrus. Subtle lingering spiciness. Medium lasting finish, slightly dry. Quite decent, actually. Pleasant surprise, good thirst quencher.

440ml can. Clear, orangey golden colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately to mostly lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Rather weak, minimally grainy and strawy, pale malty as well as herbal-grassy, hoppy aroma, a touch of sorrel, dusty yeasty overtones. Taste is minimally sweet, biscuity, pale malty, moderately bitter, herbal-grassy and slightly citrusy hoppy, hints of lemon, lemon peel, sorrel, dandelion, some mineral aspects. Slightly oily, watery texture, smooth, soft, minimally dry palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Crisp, clean, nicely hopped, nice herbal aspects - not bad.
