Thatchers Family Reserve embraces a rediscovered century old recipe crafted by William Thatcher, back in 1904 at the family farm in Somerset. This Classic Cuvée has light golden hues, gentle effervescence, with a great combination of intensity, delicacy and length. The first gently pressed juice of the Katy apple is used to create this dry, subtle sparkling apple wine. Best served chilled in a flute.

750ml wired cork bottle from Thatchers. Opened with a pop. Sparkling, pale golden colour, foamy white fizzy head that quickly dissipates away and aroma of apple, white wine, sulphury hint. Taste is sweetish, tart, apple, tangy, some skin & core, hint of caramel, with fruity white wine notes, and some acidity. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry boozy finish. Quite drinkable.

Bottle, clear pale straw yellow, strong carbonation, aroma of ripe apples and yeast, flavor of ripe apples, roots and herbs with some alcohol showing. Nice but a little too boozy.
