31/5/2024. From cask at the 37th Colchester Real Ale and Cider Festival. Pours, clear dark amber bronze with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma is sweet, bready, toffee, candy, chocolate, sugars. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, oily/sticky, soft carbonation. Sweet candy finish. Decent.

Cask at the Tiny tavern. Amber colour with a white head. Aroma and taste are malty and caramel sweet. Slight saltiness? Maybe. Smooth body.

Cask at the Kentish Belle, Bexleyheath. Copper coloured pour with a beige head. Milk chocolate, caramel, toffee nose. Caramel,butterscotch, toffee taste. Long sweet finish.

Cask at ORB, Darlington. Amber brown colour with reddish tinge, creamy foam head leaving lacing and aroma of chocolatey malt, toffee. Taste is sweet, malty, milk chocolate, fruity, caramel, toffee with alittle biscuit, salty hint and some earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, finish has caramel, toffee and lingering sweetness. Nicely drinkable.
