Bottle at home. A bit hazy rusty orangy, huge foamy off-white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, somewhat fruity, light tart, orangepeel lightly. Quite nice.

I Batch #2 /I Toweringly huge, amber-tinted head, dense, slowly going over into fully hazy copper-amber beer, veiled. Cypress, solvent, glue, hidden caramel, melanoidins. Melanoidins, wood, cypress, solvent, halogens, resin, shoepolish. Bit harsh resiny, if masked partially by the underlying malty sweetness. Attempt at creating cerevisial Retsina? Thanks to Stef!

Bottle from Geers. Bready, malty, peppery and spicy. Nice mix between a Red Ale and a Saison. Rather dry and herbal.

Pours clear, dark mahonie amber. Medium sized, relatively stable white head that leaves a lot of lacing when going down. Scent is Saison yeast (not very peppery though, but very herbal, phenolic nevertheless) . Some sweet, fruity undertone as well. Raw grains. Taste is fairly bitter, smooth maltbase, rough and funky, mild phenolic essence that builds up. Fairly bitter, green finish with the typical saison spicyness, but not nearly as dry. Medium body, medium (yet sharp) carbo, enhanced by the bitterness it provides a certain block from being a beer you can just slam down. It forces you, in a faw, to savor and sample. Remarkably refreshing without being truly dry, with a fading hoppy malty intertwine that keeps the desire for another sip growing. Well done, even though it's not my favorite taste personally.
