Cask, handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, 06-04-10 Pours reddy brown with an off-white head. The nose is maty. Taste is bitter with bitter toffee showing straight away, there is a tang of dark fruits, its ok. A6 A4 F7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Cask at Last Drop Inn York 3 May 06. Red brown colour. A nice creamy head. Well balanced between sweetness and bitterness. Enjoyable.

Cask handpull at Folkestone Wetherspoons. Chestnut colour with bubbly beige head. Perfumed hop nose, followed by attack of milk chocolate malt. Finish has good bitterness to it. Unfortunately the aroma doesn’t go with the malt at all, and is completely off balance. This nice perfumed nose and then chocolate. No I don’t think so. Well presented but just doesn’t work
