330ml bottle from Honest Brew. Look - dark brown, massive beige fluffy head, took 10 minutes to settle. Ain't no one got time for that! Aroma - lightly roasted, sweet malts, nuts, spice, dried fruits. Nice. Taste - starts malty, then quite fruity and sweet, finishing with a long bitterness combined with some fruit tang and toasty malts. Maybe a touch of spice but this element does get a bit lost. Palate - medium body and a high natural carbonation which leads to somewhere between smooth and frothy on the palate. Maybe I've not yet had enough Belgium style beers to comment but I'm not convinced by it. A mixed bag but some good flavours.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. Don't know if this is vintage 2019 or 2020 (no vintage on the label), but the ABV is 6.0%, and the BB date is Sept. 2021. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Huge beige head. Malty aroma, hints of caramel, brittle and slightly burnt breadcrumbs. Malty flavour too, but not very sweet. Dry and dusty finish. Half decent, but not a favourite of mine.

Lillehøgda. Svart. Høyt tett lysebrunt skum som daler veldig sakte og etterlater spotlacing. Aroma av søt frukt & nøtter. Smaken vanilje & nøtter - med hint av karamell.

330ml bottle, 6 % abv, from Vinmonopolet Langnes. Pours a dense beige head over a deep rosewood body, clingy lacing down the glass. Moderate smell of earthy malts, hints of yeasty and spices. Mixed taste profile of earthy malts, dried fruits, and Belgian yeast strain. Mildly roasted finish. Quite alright, slightly disappointing though.

Huge tight creamy light brown head stayed on a near black still body. Malt & demerara aroma. Medium bodied, creamy & soft on the front with light clean back. Wood, malt, berry, roasted & sugar with strong citrus finish. Deece.

Bottke from Westhill SS. It pours darkest brown to black with decent tan head. The aroma is sweet, yet spicy, warming gingerbread, plum pudding, dried fig, fruit cane, toasty malts and light liquorice. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, earthy roast, liquorice, umami, festive spice, gingerbread, cacao, slightly charred, light ash, fruit cake, plum, prune and toast with a roasty, drying finish. Medium body and moderate to high, foamy carbonation. Decent stuff. I would say I prefer the aroma, but it's not bad overall. I think I liked the higher abv versions of this way more.
