Deze Amber Ale heeft een fluwelen body en een weelderige smaak door houttonen van wilgenbast. Kattekwaad is gewillig en ondeugend van aard maar zal je prettig verrassen want dit stoute katje blijkt geen boze kater...

33cl bottle. A almost clear deep orange golden beer with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramelish malt, nuts, red malt. Taste of reddish and caramelish malt, lot of nuts, some resins, mild bitterness.

Bottle @ home. A bit hazy amber color, medium sized white head. Aroma is very malty, grainy, wort. Taste malts, grainy again, sugary a bit. One sided, no depth and also not a great brew. Meh.

33cl Bottle from EkoPlaza. Murky amber colour, thin off-white head. Aroma of caramel, resin, tree sap, light floral, yeasty. Flavour is light yeasty, sweet, caramel, resin, hint of citrus, something leafy, soft bitter finish. Light bodied, nearly flat. Certainly drinkable.

0.33 l bottle from ’Wijnhuis Blerick’, best before April 2018. Hazy, dark brownish amber with a thin, soapy, quickly diminishing, off-white layer. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity and a bit spicy aroma of caramel, honey and some red fruits. Rather sweet, malty, slightly fruity and quite spicy taste of caramel, honey, licorice root (willow?) and some red fruits, followed by a short, slightly bitter, rather spicy and a bit yeasty finish. Medium body, slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite nice actually, don’t know what willow tastes like but I think I got it. Appearance needs some improvement though, doesn’t look that appealing.

Bottle at home. Slightly murky amber with fizzy off white head that lasts just a few seconds. Sweet caramel, light wood, dried apricot, soft milky dough, raw cocoa, light vegetables. It’s quite sweet with a lasting light bitterness. Medium bodied with low carbonation. Aroma is OK but it looks quite bad with no head, and the almost nonexistent carbonation doesn’t help.

Murky medium amber colour, small and thin soapy off-white head, dissipates quickly, light lacing; w. Weak aroma, sweet malts, caramel, light wood, candy sugar. Taste light heavy sweet and slightly bitter, roasted malts, burnt caramel. Thin sweetbitter middle part, abrupt sweetish and sugary finish. Light body, watery texture, lively carbonation, don't like this one.
