Bottle at Black Sheep Beer House, Varna, Bulgaria. Shared with lovely Anja and Our K&K Igor. Clear straw colour, no head. Like drinking whiskey & dry with apple or pear aroma and light bubblegum. Dry, developing light pear and honey sweetness. Light body, soft carbonation, moderate lasting finish. Quite nice.

Süßlicher Geruch nach Aprikosen, Whisky, Honig. Torfiger Antrunk, zu dem die starke Süße nicht passen möchte. Dabei bleibt die Süße stark, wenig würzig, die Apfelnoten sind erkennbar, bleiben aber im Hintergrund. Langer Nachhall, in dem die Süße schnell schwindet. Schwierig. 8/6/8/6/9/6

Bottle from local AH as Blind Pig Honey and Smoked spirit flavored cider, BB 31 08 17, 35 cl sample. Clear golden color, short rim of bubbly lacing. Aroma of slight honey sweetness, dry oak wood and bit bacony smoke. Bit sweetness in taste, bacon and ham. Typical macro stuff, but I quite like it actually, although it gets a bit tiring after half a glass.

Clear golden yellow cider, small irregular creamy head, falls down quickly. Aroma: lots and lots of boxes of sweet apple juice, apple flavoured candy, and hey, where's my smoke? Or my honey? MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very sweet, sugary, apple candy, alcohol, slightly sourish, maybe a hint of that promised smoke, but that might very well be the power of suggestion, all together. Aftertaste: more sugary, apple candy, sugared Turkish apple tea. What the hell is this stuff? Bah.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Clear light golden with very small white head. Sweet apple candy, light BBQ smoke, weird herbs, ash, winegums, dry mineral water. Quite sweet. Light bodied. Quite dry finish. Not good.

Bottle shared at home. Clear golden with thin white head. Winegums, laboratory chemical aroma’s and cigarette ash. Big sweet. Medium body. Sticky and sugary and very much nothing left of what I like about ciders. If an apple touched the production line of this product it’s been a waste of apples. I don’t taste apples. Imagine a world where this is the best tasting drink you can get and I would probably kill myself. Eating the glass it’s poured in would be a more entertaining experience than sipping the entirety of this. Bottle - Sweet apple and some vanilla. Clear gold. Liquid smoke, vanilla and apple. Very sweet and artificial, with the smoke far in the background.

Bottle at Cafe Stoffel Tilburg. Clear golden color, no head. Smell and taste both are incredibly sweet, super sweet candy, bubblegum, sugar. Artificial. Big no.
