Der Charakter dieses unfiltrierten und naturtrüben Bieres wird bestimmt durch seinen besonders hohen natürlichen Gehalt an Eiweißen und Gerbstoffen, Hefe und Hopfenbestandteilen. Eingebraut mit fränkischem Gerstenmalz unter Zusatz von hellen Caramelmalzen und mildem Spalter Aromahopfen vergärt das Zwickl bei kalten Temperaturen unter 10 °C solange in Ruhe, bis es seine süffige und würzige Geschmacksfülle erreicht hat. Bottle, nine months before bbd. Pours hazy golden orange, with a big creamy head. Aroma is malts with bread and caramels, as well as nice hops with herbs, spices and some yeast. Full body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is floral hops, and malts with bread and caramel.

Bottle shared on the train from Nuremberg to Freising during day 3 of the Bamberg Jolly of January 2015. Pours clear yellow-gold with a white froth topping. So so overall. Sugary sweet, with some pale bread, minimal bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation and creamy texture. Doughy white bread on the finish, and little else. Meh.

Bottle shared by Lyn Friday night, thanks for the opportunity! Deep golden color with a frothy white head. Rich malty aroma and flavor with plenty of bready pils and caramelized malt sugars present. Very tasty.

bottle from Heinrichs 3000 Super-Getränkemarkt Kornwestheim. Hazy brownish golden witha mid-sized white head. Malty, slightly grainy, with a yeasty fruity touch and some moldy, musty flavours.

Bottled. Hazy deep golden, small head.Fruity nose with some raspberry esters. Sweetish with light body and rounded, syrupy mouthfeel, Dough and caramel, some syrup and bubblegum. Low bitterness. Severely lacking in the malt department.

Hazy deep golden to light amber colour, small frothy off-white head, recedes quickly, thin layer remains, good lacing. Aroma malty grain, bready, basement, straw, hint of caramel and citrus. Medium sweet and bitter taste, hint of caramel. Medium body, light creamy texture, lively carbonation; finish as in the taste but with more bitterness.

Bottle picked up in Bamberg train station. Light amber with a solid head. Aroma is a little nutty. Flavour is grainy and a bit metallic. Finish is again metallic.

Bamberg jolly day 3 26/01/2014. Bottle shared on the train. Golden coloured pour with a lasting white head.. Aroma is nutty, grainy malts with light metal notes. Flavour is metalic, wet grassy hops. Leafy vegetal hops.
