Der Charakter dieses unfiltrierten und naturtrüben Bieres wird bestimmt durch seinen besonders hohen natürlichen Gehalt an Eiweißen und Gerbstoffen, Hefe und Hopfenbestandteilen. Eingebraut mit fränkischem Gerstenmalz unter Zusatz von hellen Caramelmalzen und mildem Spalter Aromahopfen vergärt das Zwickl bei kalten Temperaturen unter 10 °C solange in Ruhe, bis es seine süffige und würzige Geschmacksfülle erreicht hat. Durch die naturbelassene Trübe genießen Sie mit Zwickl ein Bier von hoher ernährungsphysiologischer Wertigkeit

Hazy amber colour, white foam. Nose of biscuits, some caramel, a bit bready, light sweet, some fruitiness. Not a bad one.

Solid bavarian style keller, typical to style, but slightly cleaner from this region. Crisp red malty, a little bit of the cellar muddledness. online hier gibt bier

Bottle. Amber color. Soft bready caramelly aroma. Malty sweetish bready flavor with toffee. Not abundant with character, but quite drinkable.

12th Sep 2018; half-litre, on tap in the brewery tap beer garden. Light amber, almost clear; beige too white head. Caramel lead in both the aroma and taste, some bread like flavours too, so malts first here, the hops playing a bit part. Mild bitterness in the finish.

"Alt-Bamberg Zwickl", Flasche von REWE, Bad Staffelstein. - Dunkleres Goldbraun, trüb. - Recht schwache Nase mit blaß krautigem Hopfen und leicht muffigem Malz. - Antrunk matt karamelmalzig mit etwas flauer fruchtig-krautiger Hopfenherbe. Traubenzuckerähnliche Restsüße; leichte muffig-ranzige Züge (tote Hefe?). Milder rezent. Im Abgang süßsauer und viel zu wenig herb. - Fades Kellerbier-Imitat ohne Tiefgang und Pep aus einer nicht existierenden "Braumanufactur", im Grunde genommen Schwindel.

Bottle. Murky amber, offwhite stable cream. Relatively neutral nose: Light mineral, a hint fruit, a hint bakers yeast. Medium to light body, sparkly mouthfeel. Light fruity/juicy malt base, light orange, a bit hay, boring grassy finish. Fails to commit to any flavor really.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Totally clear light amber with big off white head. Bready, dusty hops, caramel, soft dried fruits, soft raw cocoa. Medium sweet and bitter. Over medium malty body with soft carbonation. OK.
