Ramborn Perry is made with pears from very old traditional orchards, including Bongert Altenhoven in Bettenbourg. It was created as part of Ramborn’s commitment to protecting and reviving the many unique varieties of fruit that grow in the region.
These traditional pear varieties – including Mostbirne and Nelchesbirne – have been carefully selected and pressed to create a perry rich in tannins, and full of subtle fruit flavour.

Bottle @Sam Beer (Rome). Dorata, limpida, brillante, schiuma bianca media evanescente. Al naso note di succo di pera, polpa di mela matura, bollicina dolce. In bocca è dolce all'attacco, con chiusura abbastanza secca, lievemente acidula, lieve astringenza. Corpo leggero, carbonazione viva. Non male.

330ml bottle @ Stable, Birmingham. Pours clear gold. Sweet cider aroma, not jumping out as a perry though. Taste is commercially sweet, again not much in the way of distinct perry fruit, certainly comes across more like an apple cider. Fine, but lacks character and needs more bite in general.

12/8/2018. Bottle from Fischer Alima Bourse, Luxembourg City. Pours golden amber with a small short lasting white head. Aroma of pears, caramel and light spiced notes. Medium to heavy sweetness, very light tartness. Moderate body, slight sticky texture, soft carbonation. Some dryness to finish.

Sampled from bottle at International Cider Festival. Clear very pale straw with no head. Very very very very dry and nutty pear juice. One sip of this and your cheeks get stuck to your teeth. 330ml bottle from Crafty Nectar. Sparkling golden colour, short-lived fizzy white foam head and fruity aroma. Taste is tart and sweetish, pear with dry, fleshy notes and some sulphur & tannin. Light to medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, drying pear finish. Quite OK
