deep dark brown colour, one inch of creamy yellowish beige head; aroma and taste of cocoa powder or rather dark chocolate, coffee, dried black sour cherry, prune, some vanilla, licorice-like and minimal liqueur notes; mixing an imp stout with a quadrupel?...crazy idea - and still works!

I had the East Coast edition well over a year ago, thought it was really good bordering on excellent. The 16 oz can of West Coast I have in hand goes in a slightly different direction apparently. Quite all right, lots of room in the beer universe. Imperial stout and quadrupel, only my two favorite styles. Flipping the tab and making a pour inside of my New Belgium globe glass. I see a liquid one shade this side of jet black with the not unexpected, thin head of tan foam. A nice carbonation, some life in there. The nose is glorious, I get chocolate, dark fruit particularly plums and figs, grain and caramel. The drink is nice, not quite to the level of the scent. Coffee, a bit of ash, chocolate, black plums, leather, tobacco, wood and something herbal. I am losing the Three Philosophers to a degree, much heavier with the Speedway Stout. A decent blend, I'll take the East Coast style though.

473ml can. Soft, smooth and roasty with some coffee, hops, raisins, plums and slightly dry bitter finish. Nice.

Toasty, roosterig, koffie, zoet, redelijk zacht, prima chocolade. Goeie.

Panda at home, thanks to the Wingmane, 14/05/21. Black with a good sized tan covering that settles as a swirl. Nose is dark fruit rinds, light spice, toffee, cocoa sprinkle, molasses, brown sugar melt, candied dates, hint of coffee, trace of herb. Taste comprises dark malts, dried red berries, liquid fruit cake, light spice, chocolate, dates, prunes, light roast, hint of bitterness. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a warming kiss of alcohol. Solid drop with a good layer of complexity.

Panda 🐼 at home thanks to Wingman. A reddy dark brown coloured pour with a fine light tan head. Aroma is nice nutty brown malts, boozy fruit cake, mellow earthy roast, light oak. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, rich earthy roast, burt fruit cake, dried fruits, warming alcohol, hazelnut. Mellow boozy finish. Palate is semi sweet, rounded,
