We’ve gone against the grain on this one. French hops meet English malts in a marriage made in heaven that will have even the most avant-garde individual pondering over what they’ve just drunk.

Here’s to anticonformism … here’s to being a ‘terrible child’.

Cask, third, shared with Finn at Crown and Kettle. Cloudy grey-golden body, white head, clingy lacing. Modest citrus nose, mid-dry. Moments of grapefruit and lemon to the taste profile, mid-sweet doughy malts beneath. Malt-fruity ending, semi dry. Fair enough. (Manchester 25.01.2020).

Cask @ Mr Foley's, Leeds. Fully hazed light amber with a head. Has a mild fruitiness and a low but evident milkshake styling. It's mildly sweet too.

Cask at the Guild Ale House, Preston. Pours hazy gold with a thin white head. Aromas of grapefruit zest and light biscuit. Taste is more grapefruit. Light sweet finish. Bit one-dimensional, but not bad.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O'Nails, Bristol 18/5/2018. Deep gold in colour with a slight, off-white, head. A pleasant bitter, with some leafy hops, hedgerow fruits and sweetish digestive malts, leading to a lingering, bitter, finish. Good.
