A 440 ml can found in the cooler at the Vinmonopolet in Stavanger. I get a sampling of a Norwegian NE style IPA, good news. Using a tall bar glass from the ship I open the can and pour. A densely opaque light orange color, it arrives with a vigorous white top that promptly settles. I get a smell of pineapple, lime and a bit of pine. But it is the taste I want here. Tropical fruit, pine cone, oranges and a medium hoppiness with a fair amount of sweetness. The bitterness builds. Very nice I say from someone who is not a big fan of New England style.

440ml can from Vinmonopolet Langnes. Unclear golden body, firm white lacing head. Tropical fruity nose, promising. Peachy flavours joined by orange, and citrus peels to a decent bitter fruity finish. Fine depth. Likable. (Tromsø 26.07.2019).

0,44 litre Can from Vinmonopolet Hamar. Cloudy Golden with white head. Malts, hops, yeast, Citrus, fruityness, some bitterness. Good!

Shared can at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours cloudy golden with off-white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, notes of pine needles. Tastes slightly bitter with little sweetness. Thin to medium bodied, dry mouthfeel, bitter finish.

440 ml can, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8%. Hops are Citra, Mosaic and Equanot, yeast WLP066 (London Fog). Very cloudy brownish-yellow colour, moderate white head. Lovely aroma of tropical fruit juice, also notes of spruce. The flavour is medium sweet, notes of tropical fruits again, with pine and alcohol in the finsh.

Big bubbly-creamy longlasting head, hazy orangy yellow color. Aroma is slightly sweet sour-ish fruity, leafs, dried fruits, sap, fruit stones, lactose, dusty hops, citrus, bark, pine needles, minerals, perfume, soap. Taste is slightly sweet boozy, dried fruits, oatmeal, sap, fruit stones, booze, wet grass, bark, dusty hops, minerals, soil, light malts, perfume, soap, citrus. Longlasting harsh bitterness, sweet boozy mouthfeel. Meh!

Can, six weeks after canning. Pours cloudy yellow, with a big creamy head receding to finger thickness. Aroma is grassy, tropical hops with mango, apricots and fruit peel, as well as some shrubbery and minerals. Creamy body, with soft to average carbonation. Flavour is grassy hops with tropical notes of guava, mango and passion fruit, as well as stone fruits, musty fruit peel, minerals and some citrus peel.
