Handpull cask at the Med, Cambridge. Clear gold with a loose spotty white head. Lovely grapefruit aroma, bound down to earth by some sweet-smelling biscuity malt. The taste is sweet but I’d hesitate to call it malt-led. There’s a citrus hop bitterness that lasts through to the refreshing finish. It tastes stronger than 3.8% and the body is a trifle pendulous. Nevertheless it’s a very decent and enjoyable drink, a classic English golden.
