Well stored bottle. Close to black body under a moderate sized beige head. Aroma of mild roasted dark malt with hint of coffee, chocolate and faint smoke. Taste is smooth, sweet dark malt, light roasted, a faint hint of smoke, some coffee and chocolate. Balanced body and same aftertaste. Nice and smooth, not much smoke or pepper – perhaps it’s fade away during storage.

Svart med lavt beige skum. Lukter lite røkt, mer ristet malt, mørk sjokolade og kakaopulver. Middels - i fylde. Lett bitter kaffe, mørkt brød og noe anis. Middels lang.

Bottle, 75cl. A dark brown to black beer with a dense two-finger head leaving lacing. The aroma is lightly smoked, with roasted malts, bonfire hints, coffee notes and some prunes. It's full-bodied, lightly warming and with a very soft carbonation, semi-dry, with a decent bitterness. There's some notes of chili burn in the mouth, with flavors of roasted malts, coffee grit, bonfire and smoke. Lasting flavor with bonfire, roasted malts and some coffee grit and dried fruits. There's sure lots of good things going on here, the mouthfeel is superb, but the aroma and flavor is sort of messy. But sure nice. 190216

750ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Shared with Knut and Pål. Slowly diminishing fawn coloured head. Lacing rings down the glass. Near clear dark coloured body with a rustic glint. Lightly smoked aromas with malty sweetness. Smoked malty flavours, hints of bread and spruce. Black pepper, not overdone, to the finish. Well bodied. Fine after dinner drink. (Tromsø 02.02.2019).

Rerate. From tap at Mi2 at Cardinal 04.11.19. Dark mahogany. Fairly persistent beige head. Aroma of roasted malt and vanilla. Still a bit waterish, but with more appropriate carbination. Taste of roasted malt, roasted barley and ash. Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 22.01.19. Ebony. Beige head with large bubbles is quickly disappearing. Aroma of stout, sour roasted malt and a hint of peat and burnt circuit boards. Waterish taste, with yesterday´s coffee, roasted malt, black pepper, ash, juniper and liquorice. Some bitterness is lingering on. Totally flat with no carbonation. [6/2/6/3/10=2,6.]
