Can. Unclear dark golden to amber body with a big tan head. Aroma has malt, caramel, nuts and hint of toast. Flavor is smooth, sweet malt and caramel, light toast and smooth nutty confection with moderate but notable bitterness. Body feels balanced and aftertaste is long lasting. Probably not this kind of brown ale to suit the Christmas roast, but sure a nice little drink in front of the fireplace or maybe together with some Christmas cake. Its surprisingly bold for a 4,5% beer. Nice without overdoing the nutty/creamy/pastry thing.

Pours reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, hint of burned malt and nuts. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long caramel, malty and light nutty finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft

330 ml can, from Joker Vatlandsvåg. ABV is 4.5%, IBU 25. Brewed with hazelnut extract. Nut brown colour, moderate to small off-white head. Aroma of malts and nuts. Malty and nutty flavour too, thankfully not too sweet nor too bitter. Nice to drink.

Can. A hazy brown beer with a finger-thick off-white head. The aroma is rather nutty, with caramel, bread crust, toast and a light fruityness. Dried fruits that is. It's medium bodied, quite mellow and semi-dry, with a nice carbonation level. It's a tad metallic in the finish, with an initial flavor of nuts, caramel, toast and some prunes. Long finish with all the good stuff all over again, as well as a touch of lactose-ish sweetness. A nice low strength brown ale. 181228

330ml can from EuroSpar Langnes. Airy, bubbly fawn-coloured head, spotty lacing, cloudy dark red-brownish coloured body. Moderate smell of brown malts, dry. Rich taste profile of hazelnuts, earth and caramel malts. Mid-sweet malt-driven end. Quite well bodied. Good Yuletide qualities. (Tromsø 16.12.2018).

Tiny bubbly shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry roasted, toast, chocolate, roasted grain, minerals, lactose, caramel, bark, soil, dark malts, hints of licorice and coffee. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish mineraly, weeds, hay, minerals, paper, bark, toast, soil, grass, roasted grain, nuts, fruit stones, harsh hops. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly watery and harsh mineraly mouthfeel. Boring.

Fra fat på Cafe Sånn. Mørk rødbrun. Filmskum med litt farge. Helt klar! Lett nøttearoma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken nøtter & karamell. Tørr avslutning. Behagelig øl. Veldig bra ut frastyrken.
