Bottled (from Vinmonopolet Kirkenes). Coppery colour, mediumsized creamy beige head. Aroma is floral, mild dried fruits, some toffee and mild toast. Flavour is dry wood, some fruits, toffee and some herbs and overly sweet.

Klar rødbrun farge med beige skum. Lukter karamell og noe mørke stenfrukte. Smaker litt salt og karamell. Desenber 2018

Bottle. Clear amber body under a big, dense tan head. Aroma has malt, caramel and dry fruit. Taste is sweet and quite malty, dry fruit and slightly vinous. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. Aroma and the tree first sips felt better than finishing a glass. Decent and a fun idea.

KØLF 181019. Dark brown color with a beige head. Flavor is figs, dates, dried fruit, hop, coffee, sugar. Weird beer.

33cl bottle, Vasa, Norski tasting 2019. Poured brown color with a thin white head. Sweet, spicy, almondy and figs. Medium to full bodied, robust but very sweet.

Dark amber-brown colour, small beige head. Cinnamon, dates in the nose. Medium-bodied. Fruit cake, cinnamon, allspice in the flavour, a bit watery finish. Decent.

330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Langnes. A deep ruby-brown body under a diminishing off-white head leaving spotty lacing on the glass. Smell of dried fruits with dates up front. Well blended taste of figs, dates and raisin. Drying, mid-sweet ending. Fine depth. Pleasing and not too sweet. Fits its description. (Tromsø 28.12.2018).

Fra 0,33 flaske ombord på Fridtjofen, Holmens maritime juleølsmaking 08.12.18: rødlig kobber med ok skum. Tørkede frukter, fiken, lakris, dadler og rosiner. Hint av tørr sherry. Fin bitterhet sørger for balansen og en halvtørr avslutning. En av kveldens beste for meg.
