Softly carbonated chocolate porter made with ‘Original Beans’ organic chocolate nibs and a big bunch of botanicals (Bay Leaves, li- quorice, Star Anise, AngelicaRoot and Mint) instead of hops to make up the flavour profile of Green Chartreuse Liqueur.

Keg @ Off Broadway, Homerton, London. Black-brown with a small creamy-frothy off-white head. Its chocolate has a palatable chilli spice to it which is notable in taste, but not so much in the palate. Has a smooth crisp texture.

Third, on tap at Deviant & Dandy Taproom. Almost black in the glass. Filmy layer at the top, fragile lacing. Hints of anise and chocolate on the nose. Flavoured with nuts, cocoa and anise. Herbal dry ending. Rather sweet porter version. Okay. (Hackney, London 28.09.2018).

Keg at CBC Holborn, 29/08/18. Chestnut brown with a decent light beige cap. Nose is a little thin, light fruit esters, toffee, aniseed. Taste comprises brown bread, toffee, cocoa powder, liquorice, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so affair.

Keg at Craft Beer Co. - Old Street. Pours deep black-brown with a creamy, tan head. Lots of burnt herbs in the aroma, some cocoa, coffee grounds. Medium sweet flavour with further charred herbal notes, bitter cocoa, earth. Medium to full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine carbonation. Oily finish, more charred winters spices, herbs, ashy roast, dark malts, earth, cocoa. A little scattered, but not bad.
