Well stored bottle. Black body with a small beige head. Strong and pleasant aroma of dark, roasted malt, coffee, dry fruit, caramel and some warming alcohol. Flavor is sweet, roasted malt, dry fruit, coffee, warming alcohol and smooth bitterness. Surprisingly smooth all over actually considering the high alcohol. Fin body and long lasting aftertaste. Nice one.

On tap at the brewpub, Kråka. A black beer with a small brown head. Sweetish caramel sauce aroma with some burnt notes and molasses. Alcohol, some dried fruits and a whiff of vanilla too. It’s full-bodied, warming and soft on the palate, with a decent bitterness and some piney hints. Caramel sauce, molasses, alcohol and some dried fruits in the flavor. The molasses lasts for a really long time and is running the show in the swallow. The vanilla is rather subdued all the way. A delicious, lightly edgy beer. 190222

Flaske fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. #75. Drukket på Lillehøgda. Svart. Det mokkafargete skummet varer noen sekunder. Oljeaktig konsistens. Aroma av vanilje & nøtter. Smaken sjokolade & mye lakris. Litt medisinsk undertone. Alkoholen godt kamuflert.

330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Langnes. Dissipating espresso head, deep near-black body, clingy lacing. Prominent black malty nose with liquorice up front. Vanilla sweet liquorice to the taste profile together with moments of nuts and coffee, and dried fruits toward the ending. Rounded mouthfeel. Pretty nice, slightly unvaried with the strong liquorice impact. (Tromsø 17.05.2018).

Helt svart med brunt skum. Lukter av kaffe, vanilje. Fyldig. Meget søt, kjenner godt alkoholen også. søtlig, "varm avslutning. God.

Nice light brown fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is dry and harsh sour-ish boozy, weeds, minerals, bark, dark malts, licorice, booze, sour-ish roasted grain, dusty nuts, hay, sour coffee, ashes, sawdust, harsh dusty vanilla. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish mineraly, weeds, minerals, dark sugar, dark malts, bark, alcohol, sour-ish roasted grain, burnt toast, sour coffee, harsh vanilla, licorice, medicine, soil. Medium to longlasting bitterness, both watery and sweet syrupy harsh boozy mouthfeel at the same time. Bad day self medicine - this is not the solution...
