Hazy golden color with a decent head. Ok intensity in the aroma. A bit to sweet this one. Especially with that mild acidity. Unbalanced. Ok carbonation level. Medium to full body. Yeast, fruity, sugary and some spices. Ok masked alcohol.

02.03.2018, 0,33l bottle sampled @ Ngne backroom tasting during NRBG:
Nice slightly fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet floral, hay, flowers, bubblegum, minerals, leafs, grain, yeast, old wash cloth, paper, bark, alcohol, grass. Taste is sweet mineraly, candi sugar, weeds, flowers, bark, wet hay, old wash cloth, grain, bark, alcohol, grass, old rope. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly sweet and harsh grainy mouthfeel. Not really my cup of coffee.

Bottle. A lightly unclear golden colored beer with a small off-white head. Fruity, lightly sugary aroma with grass, herb nuts and a faint touch of vegetables. Some pale malts. Alcohol hints. It's full bodied, with some warmth and a nice carbonation, quite dry. Fruity flavor with a good sweetness, without it being sweet. Some peppery hints, grass, alcohol and a nice bitterness. Lasting finish. Perhaps a bit sugary this one, but it's a fine specimen. 180302

330 ml bottle, from the brewery. ABV is 8.5%, IBU 34. Hops are Chinook, Hallertauer Mittelfrüh and Styrian Goldings. Hazy golden colour, small white head. Sweetish aroma of Belgian ale yeast, white kandij sugar syrup and over-ripe yellow plums. Sweet flavour with the same elements as the aroma, but also fairly distinct bittering hops. Too sweet, and certainly no Trappist.

Bottle. Practically clear golden body with a big, lacing off-white head. Aroma is caramel, dry fruit, candy sugar and hint of phenol. Flavor is really sweet caramel malt, candy sugar, dry fruit and warming alcohol in a typical traditionally Belgium abbey style. Fine body and decent sweet aftertaste that somehow avoids becoming sticky. Nothing new, nothing exiting really, but I decent and easy drinkable interpretation of a classic.
