We boiled Centennial and Chinook hops and dryhopped with Galaxy for some additional citrus. A hop mix that makes for a remarkably soft type of bitterness. Combined with the citrus influences, it gives this light-bodied double IPA a pleasant touch of complexity.

Bottle shared at Maakun. Hazy pale amber. Sweet malts, biscuits, white bread crust, toast, lime, caramel, the distinctive aroma of buddha fingers (nudge nudge wink wink), very nice fruity notes, dank hoppiness all around but not as prominent as thenfruitiness. Big sweet and mild bitter. Over medium body and soft carbonation. Nice.

Bottle shared thanks to Sjogro. Bit hazy darker golden with off white head. Nice smell of citrus up front. More citrus in the taste with lime peel, grapefruit and what I guess is the Asian fruits. Some fresh baked bread, caramel, quite some herbs and grass. Medium sweet with a long lasting quite strong citrus peel bitterness. Medium bodied. Nice.

33cl bottle from the brewery. Mostly clear amber color (just a swirl of the yeast). Big, dense off white head with good retention and some lace. Aroma’s: hops, fruit, a bit yeasty. Retronasal it’s sweetish, yeasty, hops, some bitterness, light resin, spices (not sure which). Flavor is moderate to full bitter with some sweetness and spices. Medium bodied. Firm bitter finish, somewhat herbal.

Bottle from het Biermoment, batch 342 BB 08-2017, 33 cl sample. Slight hazy orange to amber color, medium frothy head. Aroma has fresh citrussy hops, slight caramelly malts and a hint of flowery menthol. Dry firm bitterness in taste, slight candy and caramel sweetness. A bit harsh in the finish. Interesting addition of fruit to this DIPA. Quite unique.

1st January 2017
Almost clear amber beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is airy, semi dry and has reasonable fine carbonation. Malts are light, dry and mildly sweet with a vague lager character. Mellow pine. Mild pithy bitterness. A little ripe lemon and hop spice. Trace of tropical fruits. Smooth and fairly dry finish. Mild bitter linger. Not bad.

Spicy nose. Clear pale amber colour, good two finger frothy, off-white head, recedes slowly, good lacing. Aroma pale malts, orange peel, tangerine, passion fruit, light spices and pine. Smooth mouthfeel, taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, citrusy. Hoppy bittersweet aftertaste, spicy notes, dry herbal finish, medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, nice soft and mellow IPA.

33cl Bottle, thanks Potje! Clear orange-amber colour, yellow-tinted head. Aroma is hoppy, citrus, herbal, peel, hint of pine, tropical fruits. Flavour is light to medium sweet, citrus, lime, peel bitterness, some tropical fruit, hint of pine, grass, quite herbal bitterness underneath, a bit of caramel, hint of toast, herbal bitter finish. Medium bodied at best. Not fully convinced.
