Today the Belgian wheat beers are still brewed in the tradition of the former recipes. The smell of Blanche de Charleroi is reminiscent of oranges, coriander, and pineapple. A champagne-like sparkle and slightly sharp notes enliven the palate. Impressively fine and mild body with a finish accompanied by the fruity flavors.

Aroma is a nice contrast between citrus, grapefruit peel, and floral, honey, plus spices. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is mildly sweet, with a fairly dry final.

0.33 l bottle from a random Spanish supermarket. Hazy golden color with foamy white head. Citrus, coriander, banana, yeast and green apple in aroma. Sour citrus and lemon in taste with a bit watery texture and sour finish. Softly carbonated, light bodied. Refreshing brew without outstanding flaws.

Bottle at Torben Mathews tasting. Pours cloudy golden with medium white head. Aroma is malt, wheat, banana, cloves, coriander and chalk. Taste is medium sweet. Body is oily with fizzy carbonation. Finish is long and mostly sweet with notes of wheat, malt, spice, banana and yeast

Bottle. Cloudy dark yellow with a big white head. Aroma of citrus fruits, wheat and coriander. Taste of citrus fruits, malts, wheat, zest, coriander, spices and honey. Moderate bitterness. Medium to strong carbonation. Very balanced, very refreshing and very nice.

Bottled. Hazy pale yellow colour with a small creamy white head. Aroma is floral, some coriander, wheat and mild spicy tones. Flavour is being pretty similar, with coriander and wheat dominating.

33cl bottle. A clear golden beer with a big off-white head. Aroma of sweet wheat malt, banana, sugar. Taste of intense sweet banana, wheat malt, dought and sugar. Too sweet!

If only this was half as good as blanche de chalevoix. Florals and banana. Kind of a eatery texture. Light sweet floral finish. Bottle.

27.04.2018 -- on tap at mokhnaty khmel in kiev, 60 uah/.4l. pours a hazy pale yellow with a steady head and a nice lacing. strong aroma of apricots. flavour of apricots, coconut milk, lemon zest, candy. apricots are overpowering.
